I Divine!
Everybody knows New York. No matter where you go, people will recognize the name "New York". This gives residents a sense of well-deserved pride for choosing to live in such a glorious city. This may be why New Yorkers are so pretentious, and don't even try to pretend like it's not true. We're here because we're the best of the best, with regards to anything. Whether you be a successful business person, a great artist, model, actor, prostitute, gangster, athlete, whatever. Or maybe your were born into it Maybe you're trying to get out for whatever reason. If you're here, your trying to climb the social ladder. You have a goal and you're trying to get to the top. What's yours?

C-Box
I would post some C-Box rules, but I think we're all smart enough to know how to use one of these. Just don't be a jerk.

Credit!
A great big thank you to
Wicked for the skin colors, which were only slightly altered by me. Also, for the "on" and "off" buttons.
Animus for the affiliates table and a great number of codes.

in Housing!
[ ]Bushfield Apartments
Uptown
Really gorgeous, huge apartments. Generally around 3-4 bedrooms with skyline views. With a free parking garage for people who live here.

00
[ ]Chenwick Suites
Uptown
Not so luxurious as the Bushfield Apartments, but these are still very nice and expensive. Most are 2-3 bedrooms with nice views and a doorman.

00
[ ]Morri St. Lofts
Downtown
Spacious lofts with industrial style windows and hardwood floors. The more expensive of downtown housing. For slightly better off people who still want to be able to say that they are an artist or otherwise hip downtown person.

00
[ ]Candida Studios
Downtown
Small one-room apartments. Some of them are actually nice because people take care of them, but most of them are in squalor. It really depends on the person who lives there.

[ ]Red Em's Compound
Downtown
Small apartments, collectively owned by the people who work at Red Em's Bookstore Cafe. All apartments also happen to be strategically located on top of the cafe. It's essentially like an urban commune. Not just anyone can work/live here, though. You have to be accepted.

00
[ ]Malcolm Ave. Apartments
Outskirts
Inexpensive one-or-two bedroom apartments with cable tv, plumbing, and electricity. Heat and cooling isn't included, so many tenants have their own space heater or air conditioning.

00
Upper East Side!
[ ]The Business District
It's really just three or four blocks of nothing but building that have to do with big business, the stock market, etc. People here know that money controls the world, and they also tend to have more of it than other people.

00
[ ]City Mall
A massive building with 5 stories worth of shopping, and a huge variety or stores and restaurants.

00
[ ]Starbucks
Most would agree that Starbucks is the largest coffee chain on the planet, so it's no coincidence that there would be one in New York.

[ ]Urban Outfitters
A favorite among high school fashionistas and other such types. Clothes are relatively expensive.

00
[ ]Borders Bookstore
A really huge bookstore with an in-store cafe and endless amounts of magazines.

00
[ ]Ciao
Expensive Italian restaurant. Great for special occasions or important business dinners or anything else your heart may desire.

00
[ ]Liquid
Very trendy bar with an ultra-modern interior; including low-key electronic music, a reflecting pool, a VIP lounge area, and a very large selection of high-end liquor from around the world. Frequented by the rich, famous, and people who want to be them.

00
[ ]Surveillance Modeling
The place to be if you want to make your way into the world of modeling. The building is massive, rents rooms for runways shows and photo shoots, does casting calls, and design teams meet here. Any of the city's big fashion events happen here.

00
[ ]Bowtie Cinemas
Super nice theater with a huge variety of movies, including indie and foreign films. Sometimes film festivals will be held here.

00
The Village!
[ ]Red Em's Bookstore Cafe
A little bookstore cafe with wifi internet access. Sells vegetarian pastries and, for the most part, Socialist and free-thought promoting literature. Occasionally will have book signings, lectures, poetry readings, discussions, or organize political rallies.

in The Communist Manifesto
[ ]Khyber Pass
A really tiny Afghani restaurant that most people wouldn't even notice if they were just walking by. The food, however, is surprisingly good and the owner is very friendly and talkative.

00
[ ]Hollywood!
Although the store is nowhere near California, the little old woman who owns the store is obsessed with old movies. So the clothes sold here tend to be of the "glamorous" or funky variety. Many items have glitter, leopard print, or sequins on them. All for very cheap.

in With a Rebel Yell
[ ]The Factory
Essentially the downtown answer to Surveillance Modeling. Except the factory is only one large room in a converted warehouse. It often hosts low-budget fashion shows, art exhibits, music performances, and some of the craziest parties ever. This is the best-kept-secret of the downtown art community. Everyone does their part to keep rich uptown types out of The factory.

[ ]Summer of Love Records
Although it sells more CDs than records nowadays, the old store kept the same name that it's had since the 60's. It's expanded it's selection of music to fit all genres, however it's evident that the owners are more biased towards psychedelic/folk music.

[ ]American Apparel
Every major city has to have one of these, right. New York is no different. All clothing is made and manufactured without the use of sweatshops, which is why the clothes can be a little expensive.

00
The Bronx!
[ ]The Doghouse
A cheap, dive bar where a lot of drug sales go on and fights break out. This may or may not be because both Skinners and Angeles frequent this bar.

00
[ ]Burger King
An American fast food burger joing.

00
[ ]Sal's Convenience Store
A small, family-run convenience store. They also sell cheap liquor. They've got certain drugs, too, if they're convinced you aren't a narc.

00
[ ]Beat Club
A large, if not necessarily high-end nightclub. Not many big deal fights go on inside the club because of the large bouncers and their metal detectors. Many underground hip-hop musicians perform here.

00
[ ]Larry's Girls
A popular, if not sketchy, strip club. Even people from other areas of the city (particularly the business areas) will come her to see topless girls dance for them.
